This meeting is intended to update GHTF members on recent developments in medical device regulation within the Region of the Americas (Latin American and Caribbean countries). In addition to presentations from PAHO regarding their activities since the last GHTF Conference and their plans to foster better medical device control in these countries, the meeting will also include updates from individual country regulatory representatives and a presentation from a World Health Organization (WHO) representative about how that organization is promoting the development of the medical devices field.

This meeting will benefit regulatory and industry personnel with an interest in these what is going on in the Region of the Americas.
